On the view defended here, there is no deontological case for holding racial partiality to be intrinsically morally wrong when it does not proceed from animus or prejudice against those who are singled out for inferior treatment. ,

very well
a nice post that kindled me to write this comment

in olden days just two generations back, the place in which houses were built had enough space to let out the household drainage for the garden needs and its self sustained.

but nowadays houses are built in a tiny area - say 1200 Square feet and some 5 people live in this area.
no need to say of the modern flat system!!

there is no chance for the drainage to be let into any garden into this tiny habitat and its let into the so called modern underground drainage
then it eventually reaches into the sea.

so, what i am worried is
the basic plan of our living is organized such that we let out our waste water into the public area and then into the sea

until and otherwise this damn concept is broken and the design of building a house/flat with ample space to use the drain water is made, we intentionally or un-intenionally continue to pollute our mother earth and our sea.

Dear Friends,

Greetings from HOPE, Puducherry.

Holistic approach for People's Empowerment (HOPE) is a Non- profit Organization engaged in Research and Advocacy related activities besides providing Information and Training Support to other NGOs in Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu.

As part of the ongoing activities of HOPE, we are currently carrying out Campaign Against Child Labour, Campaign for Communal Harmony; and Children and Women Development activities in Tsunami-hit villages of Puducherry .The major focus is on rebuilding their lives and Livelihoods through integrated sustainable approach using environment friendly, user-friendly products like Jute, Areca leaves etc.

HOPE also regularly takes up Social Awareness Training for the elected Panchayat Representatives in Puducherry and Karaikal.

We propose to undertake a study of the coastal villages of Puducherry to understand the coast better so that it will be useful to plan the future programmes. The proposed structure is as follows:

•	Geographical profile
•	Topography
•	Climate
•	Socio-economic profile
•	Demographic and social parameters
•	Meteorological aspects
•	Geological aspects
•	Decline of water table in the coastal aquifers
•	Ecological Profile
•	Coastal bio-diversity
•	CRZ Violations: Tourism and Industries
•	Appropriateness of the area for settlement, fishing, etc.
•	Recommendation for natural protection plantations
•	Recommendation of suitable programmes / projects / activities for coastal improvement / Livelihood promotion / environment protection

If you are interested in attending a preliminary discussion in this regard in Puducherry at 10 am on 31st July 2008, kindly send a mail to vrhope at gmail dot com

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

This is another typical example of the apathy that the political and bureaucratic establishments have towards good governance. The bottom line is that they JUST DON'T CARE!!! Bad Governance is so deeply engrained in the system that they don't even feel ashamed to admit it! Bad Governance has now become a part of the system. Politicians and Bureaucrats believe that the public just has to accept it.

So when things are so rotten, the only immediate solution to solve this problem is to go to the Judiciary and file a case against the Pondy Government. It's only when they are put under presure that they will perform.
